Paul Nemitz joins Defend Democracy

Defend Democracy is excited to welcome Paul Nemitz, former Principal Adviser to the European Commission, to its Advisory Board. Nemitz is a leading voice on democracy.

'Paul Nemitz was Principal Adviser on the Digital Transition at the European Commission and is a Visiting Professor of Law at College of Europe. He is (co)author of multiple books and articles about democracy, freedom and power in the digital era. Throughout his career he has supported non-profits, with a focus on democracy, technology, AI law and ethics, media and remembrance.'

Trump dumps Defend Democracy

The US State Department "terminates" Defend Democracy's Transatlantic Democracy Dialogue, Politico Europe reports.

While being dumped by Trump-Musk is a badge of honour, “It is painful,” Stollmeyer said, “that our ‘shared values’ which we worked so hard to promote, are not shared by the Trump-Musk regime.”
