Defend Democracy is excited to welcome Paul Nemitz, former Principal Adviser to the European Commission, to its Advisory Board. Nemitz is a leading voice on democracy.

'Paul Nemitz was Principal Adviser on the Digital Transition at the European Commission and is a Visiting Professor of Law at College of Europe. He is (co)author of multiple books and articles about democracy, freedom and power in the digital era. Throughout his career he has supported non-profits, with a focus on democracy, technology, AI law and ethics, media and remembrance.'

On 19 March we had an exchange about disinformation with Filip Grzegorzewski, Head of Division 'Information Integrity and Countering Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference' at EEAS, StratCom and Foresight.

Our guests and our team enjoyed meeting disinformation experts from Europe to learn about building resilience.
