Highlights of what Defend Democracy has done this past month

Transatlantic Democracy Dialogue

On 25 June, Defend Democracy hosted the tenth Transatlantic Democracy Dialogue. Together with high-level speakers and guests, the roundtable explored how the incoming European Parliament and the new EU Commission can improve their defence of democracy.

Speakers were US Mission to the EU Minister Counsellor Desiree Humphreys, Member of European Parliament and former Lihuanian Minister of Defence Rasa Juknevičienė, MEPs Karen Melchior and Gwendoline Delbos-Corfield, Principal Advisor at the European Commission department for Justice Paul Nemitz, and Defend Democracy's Alice Stollmeyer.
Reclaiming Tech

On 13 June, Defend Democracy hosted the session 'Reclaiming Tech' at Mozilla's annual festival. Together with Member of European Parliament Kim van Sparrentak we explored how people can shape the digital transition.
