On 18 November, Defend Democracy brought together some people behind its new tech watchdog WebWatch for an informal exchange about the Dutch elections and our findings of foreign and domestic information manipulation.

Defend Democracy joined over 130 civil society organisations and unions in urging the EU Commission to halt its planned Digital Omnibus, warning that the proposals would weaken core EU laws like the GDPR and AI Act, and represent the biggest rollback of digital rights in EU history.
