Defending Democracy
Coalition for Democratic Resilience

On 13 June, Defend Democracy organised C4DR's third conference, titled 'Defending Democracy in the New Geopolitical Landscape: How to accelerate EU's Preparedness against Hybrid Threats?’ It was co-organised with the Polish EU Presidency and in collaboration with the European External Action Service.

The event took stock of three European Commission initiatives: the European Democracy Shield, the European Internal Security Strategy and the European Preparedness Union. Together we then explored how we can accelerate what these initiatives have in common: building our preparedness and resilience against hybrid threats.

Background reading: Defending democracy starts with us, not with a shield.
